On June 15, 2013 Anita Kilambi Graduated in the Kuchipudi Style of Indian Classical Dance. After 16 years of practice she achieved a great milestone in her life as a dancer. Result of an inspiration she gained at the age of seven while attending the Rangapravesham of a family friend.
Anita started learning dance at the age of six. She learned Bharatanatyam under Shobhana Sharma and Lakshmi Kommineri. She learned Kuchipudi under the guidance of Guru Sunanda Gandham for the last eight years.
Sunanda Gandham has been teaching Kuchipudi and performing on stages all over India and in the US. After watching the perfectly choreographed performance, We were stunned to hear that this was her first Ranga Pravesam. She handled it like a pro. What a great talent. She was accompanied by live orchestra of great musicians from India under Singer K. R Sudharani.
Indus Photography was fortunate enough to capture the still photographs, design the posters and shoot Anita Kilambi’s Performance. We wish her all the best to continue dancing.
