Aditi Ramya Balasubramanian is a passionate dancer in the Kalakshetra style of Bharatanatyam. On July 15, 2012 she is graduating this Indian classical dance form that she started practicing from the age of five. The Arangetram will be held at the North Brunswick High School located at 98 Raider Road North Brunswick, NJ 08902. A much anticipated Arangetram celebration that the Balasubramanian family have been preparing for more than a year.
Aditi has been learning Bharatanatyam since she was five under the tutelage of various teachers. Her passion for Bharatanatyam initiated at the age of three when she first saw the movie “Taal”. During her early years, she studied under Guru Ramya Ramnarayan of Vazhuvoor style in New Jersey for two years. She later learnt under Guru Balagurunathan of Kalakshetra style in Singapore for almost three years. On her return to New Jersey, Aditi continued her learning under Guru Chitra Ramaswamy of Kalakshetra style for the past four years. She has performed in a number of events along with her Guru. Aditi is now practicing for her Arangetram which will be a two hour solo performance.
